Great and Safe Foods

When I have my meals, I want to come out feeling more energized and healthier than before. Here are some great healthy options for meals. And when you buy foods that are Non-GMO, with No preservatives, artificial flavors, colors, hydrogenated fats, anything made in a lab (anything you can't pronounce ;) etc. Your meals are already healthier because you won't be getting sick.

SAFE AND REAL FOODS:

Really be careful with what you eat, because diseases can form by scientist "discovered or altered" foods.

Try to buy items with the LEAST amount of ingredients possible.

Great breakfasts:

  • Oatmeal with bananas to sweeten it
  • Omelets with mushrooms, spinach, and green peppers
  • Organic Cereal and 100% pure pressed orange or apple juice
  • Scrambled eggs with toast and/or avocado
  • Yogurt, orange, and hash browns.
  • Kefir and oats.
  • Yogurt parfait with strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries
  • Glass of milk, fruit, and toast with butter (real butter is actually a GOOD fat for your body)

Lunch faves:

  • Turkey wrap - turkey, lettuce, a little organic ranch dressing, cheese, raisins, almond slices wrapped up in a tortilla.
  • Salad - there are really good organic salad dressings (my favorite being caesar), and mix it with organic salad greens and organic croutons.
  • Peanut Butter and Honey (or Jam, but honey is better!) Sandwich - I get my Honey local, from a local store, because raw, local honey has local pollen that strengthens your immune system and reduces allergic symptoms to pollen. Shoot for organic pb and bread.
  • Chicken or meatballs and rice

Snacks:

  • Melted cheese on tortilla chips
  • Salad is a great option! :)
  • Green Smoothie
  • Nut Bar, with the least amount of sugar
  • Fruit
  • Organic crackers
  • Peaches in milk
  • Peanut butter and raisins on Celery
  • Yogurt parfait with strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries
  • Homemade onion rings

Delicious Dinners:

We try to mostly eat homemade dinners to reap the benefits from all the ingredients. If there are things we don't make (for example tortillas) then we buy them from our local health foods store. When finding time to cook is hard, we use crockpot recipes! Stick it in the crock pot and eat when you get back from school/work.
