For a healthy body your body needs fat. The good kind of fat! Good fat comes from Nature.
Here are some foods with good fats that I love. Remember to eat well rounded; switch it up!
Real Cheeses - make sure the ingredients are clean! (Some good kinds are Feta, Cotija, Mozzarella, Cheddar, Colby)
Milk - go for Whole milk. That's right, you heard me. Whole milk is the least processed, so it has more nutrients compared to "lower fat" milks. Drinking Organic Milk is super important, because it won't have all of the antibiotics and hormones etc.
Eggs - Organic, Cage-Free Eggs. You want them Organic & Cage-free, because the added antibiotics, hormones, and the unnatural way that non-organic chickens are raised takes away a lot of the health benefits that eggs are meant to have.
Meat - Beef, Chicken, and Turkey are my favorites. Organic is best, but if not possible look for "No added hormones or antibiotics" and "Free range!" It's important to eat some fats, specifically in grassfed beef and full-fat dairy products, because the healthy fat slows down the absorption of the food in your body. This extends the time that you don't feel hungry, so you don't feel the urge eat all of the time!
Avocado - Yum!! This is my all time fav. My friends have got the avocado craze from me. I love to spread some straight up avocado on organic tortilla chips, use it as a mayo substitute, or dice it and throw it in salad.
Butter - Please get real butter! Stay away from the harmful lab made fake "butter". And yes, this means butter IS healthy in moderation.
Fish - Alaskan fresh water fish is best. If it's caught from other areas, it may contain mercury and other toxic poisons. Healthy Fish is super beneficial to our bodies because it contains minerals, vitamins, oils, and healthy fat!
Nuts - There are so many different types of nuts in the world, try them all! The least processed, the better.
Oils - Coconut and Avocado oils are great for cooking. Olive oil is great to eat uncooked, like in salads, on pasta, etc.
